Flag Football

The City of Altamonte Springs hosts one of the largest Flag Football leagues in Central Florida. The program is open to residents as well as non-residents and is conducted in a recreational environment. We promote "The Equal Play Rule" in which participants play an equal amount of time. Players are selected for teams through a player placement workout, which creates parity throughout the league.

Registration for the 2008 Flag Football program will be held at Westmonte Park:

  • August 11th through 13th,  from 6:00pm to 8:00pm

  • August 18th through 22nd, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm

  • August 23rd, from 8:00am to 12:00pm

*Birth Certificates are needed to register

The league is organized into three Age Divisions:

  • Age Division 6 through 8

  • Age Division 9 through 11

  • Age Division 12 through 14

*Age cut off date is December 31st, 2008

Player placement workouts at Eastmonte Park from 6:00pm - 7:00pm:

  • Age Division 9 through 11- August 28th

  • Age Division 12 through 14 - August 29th

Flag Football Cheerleading

The Flag Football Cheerleading Program is for girls in kindergarten through 8th grade to showcase their talents at Youth Flag Football games. Registration is held at the beginning of August. Cheerleaders are separated into two groups: kindergarten-3rd grade and 4th-8th grade. Games are played on Saturdays at Eastmonte Park with a few night games on Thursdays. The football season runs from September until mid-November. There is a free cheer clinic for all cheerleaders and coaches at the beginning of the season and a CheerBash is held at the end of the season.

Sponsorships & Volunteers:

Much of this program depends on community support. A $100 sponsorship will help provide program supplies and the sponsor's name will be placed on the jerseys. Volunteer assistance is also needed during the course of this program. Coaches are always needed and greatly appreciated.
