Winning Ways Basketball

Winning Ways Basketball offers various programs for all ages at the Lake Brantley Athletic Complex Fieldhouse. With programs such as leagues, camps, clinics, shootouts, tournaments, training and scouting services, athletes can strive to reach whatever goal they wish to achieve. Winning Ways Basketball focuses on building winning life skills through the medium of basketball.

Winning Ways Rashard Lewis Kids Basketball Camp:

When:  June 9-13, 2008

Were:  Lake Brantley Fieldhouse

Time:  9am-3:00pm

For:  Boys & Girls ages 8-14

Cost:  $195 per camper

LIMITED ENROLLMENT!

Camp Facts:

The camp will be directed by Barry Mestel, President of Winning Ways Basketball with the popular Orlando Magic Forward Rashard Lewis in attendance each day.

Each camper will receive a Rashard Lewis Camp T-shirt, Autographed photo of Rashard Lewis, Certificate of Completion, and a Goodie bag full of prizes. Campers must bring their own lunch. Mid-morning snacks will be provided.

Camp skills will cover stretching, speed & agility, shooting, ball handling, passing, mental imagery, post moves, rebounding, pick & roll, perimeters moves, defense, and strength & conditioning. The emphasis will be on fun and fundamentals.

Winning Ways Summer Hoops Camps

Nothing But Nets:

When:  Three (3) Sessions Monday-Friday

             Session 1:  June 16-20, 2008

             Session 2:  June 30-July 4, 2008

             Session 3:  July 7-11, 2008

 

Where: Lake Brantley Fieldhouse

Time:  HALF DAY 9am-12:00pm

           FULL DAY 9am-4:00pm

For:  Boys & Girls ages 5-15

Cost:  $85 per Session 9am-12:00pm

          $145 per Session 9am-4:00pm

Camp Program:  Coaches Corner, Discussions on the Game of Live, Warm-up & Fundamental Drills, Contests, Games, Videos, and Swimming for full day sessions. Campers staying for full-day session bring a lunch & drink, bathing suit and towel. Afternoon program includes game competition, swimming, movies, plus much more!!!

Shooting Camp:

When:  June 23-27, 2008

Were:  Lake Brantley Fieldhouse

Time:  9am-12:00pm

For:  Boys & Girls ages 8-15

Cost:  $85 per camper

Camp Objectives:  Setup, delivery and visualization of shooting techniques; create player enthusiasm; 3 point setup; foul shooting mechanics; 1 on 1 offensive footwork; shooting off the dribble; create shot opportunities. Each player will be given the knowledge, technique and confidence to shoot the basketball consistently.

Summer Instructional/Evaluation Camps:

When:  Boys Camp July 13-16, 2008

            Girls Camp July 17-20, 2008

Were:  Lake Brantley Fieldhouse

For:  Boys/Girls entering 7th-12th grade

Cost:  $365 (Residential) Includes lodging & all meals

          $275 (Commuter) Includes lunch & dinner

Deposit:  $150 (deposits are non-refundable and must accompany application)

Deadline:  JUNE 20, 2008 

Lodging and meals will be provided at the Hampton Inn. Transportation will be provided and it's just a short 2 mile ride to the Fieldhouse. Our Staff will be staying at the Hampton Inn. On receipt of application a full information letter will be sent.

Each player will be given a written Player Assessment/Evaluation based on identifiable skills per position. Player Evaluations will be distributed to each participant and forwarded to college preferences upon participants request.

Camp Goals:  The Winning Ways Summer Instructional/Evaluation Camps are designed and dedicated to provide a form for aspiring athletes to bring their game to new heights. Focusing on instruction of identifiable skills per position, game competition, and player evaluations to serve as a blueprint for continuous improvement.

2008 Tournaments

Central Florida Girls Qualifier: 

April 11th-13th for registered YBOA Teams 10U-17U

Sunshine Invitational: 

April 27th-29th for registered AAU Girls Teams 10U-19U

Boys High School Team Summer Showdown: 

August 1st-3rd for High School Varsity & Junior Varsity Divisions

Lessons Individual, Group and Team Training Available:

Winning Ways Basketball staff offers Individual and Group Lessons for boys and girls grades 5 through 12. Also available is team training for club teams and recreation teams.
